Time to leave the AOC system?

Good afternoon.
The Brand Bergerac is defunct, is it time to rebrand? Why did the rules and regulations not protect the brand to the point that Vin de Table sells more expensivly than AOC Begrerac today. The wines are not bad it is the image that is bad. I will write a paper on this but in the meantime  there is a little on line poll on the subject please vote and let me know your thoughts.

Yes get out and quick, It comes down to cheer economics at the end of the day.Why if you produce an honest and good quality wine pay to belong to an AOC that actually reduces your value and hence your chances to sell the wine .One has to be an idiot or masochist to stay in or too chicken to get out.
